Door County, Wisconsin's Jeanne Kuhns, weaves  mystical lyrics and intriguing musical patterns into  a “bluesy progressive folk” mix. She is sonically and stylistically something of a mix of Laura Nyro, Joni Mitchell and an acoustically inclined Bonnie Raitt.” says Crow and Wolf Music. Jeanne says her lyrics often come to her in dreams or while painting.  She sings about what matters to her: relationships ,the earth, the  magical moments we experience every day, all with passion, humor and an artists sense of description.

HANS CHRISTIAN, whose music with RASA and singer Kim Waters has reached a global audience and who has produced numerous CDs with other artists, has again presented a recording of sacred music- a solo cello CD that was recorded inside one of the most famous cathedrals in the world- Chartres Cathedral in France. Through an auspicious turn of events, he was invited to provide music for a group of pilgrims to the cathedral and ended up getting rare access to the cathedral, to the crypt, and to an adjacent chapel. Hans describes the story in his own words:

I have played in churches all my life but never in a Cathedral as magnificent as Chartres Cathedral, home of the legendary Sancta Camisia tunic that was said to have belonged to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The opportunity arose when Wisdom University invited me to provide the music for their annual pilgrimage to Chartres.

I played while the group of pilgrims was walking the famous labyrinth that is set in the center of the Cathedral- surrounded by hundreds of candles it provided an unforgettable experience. I also played in the Crypt of the Cathedral right next to the ancient well, where Celtic druids long before the arrival of Christianity held their rituals, and where the group went through a prayer ceremony. And whenever there was extra time- usually at night- I played in the chapel of the Maison St. Ives, a former monastery, to revel in its lovely acoustics and sacred energies.

The music on all occasions was conceived in the moment so that my playing would harmonize with the contemplative energies around me. There is a sense of timelessness in these recordings, and yet a determination to awake to the mystical knowledge that the Masters of Chartres were so profoundly aware of a thousand years ago
